An opportunity has arisen for a Senior M&E Construction Manager (LV/HV) to join our Power department. Reporting to the M&EE Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing an existing team of M&E Construction Managers that deliver LV & HV Electrical works on behalf of VolkerRail Specialist Businesses including resource planning, safety critical planning, the production of safety documentation, site logistics, installation, testing, commissioning, hand over and production of the associated documentation.

The SCM role is business critical. Your responsibilities will therefore include close liaison with the M&E Operations and Engineering Manager to ensure delivery in accordance with approved designs, current legislation and regulations, constructability input to tendering and strategic resource planning to ensure smooth and efficient delivery to budget and programme by the M&E construction teams in collaboration with the Project Management and Engineers.

As a skilled communicator with strong organisational ability, you will excel at working to deadlines and possess a positive and proactive ‘can do’ approach leading by example in both your own work and in how you manage others.

Considerable experience of working in a Senior Electrical Delivery position is essential, with experience in the railway industry being preferable. The Successful candidate will be qualified to ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, familiar with IET Regulations, CDM Regulations 2105, Electrical estimating, the principles of P6 critical path project planning and computer literate in Microsoft office, together with a proven track record of success in managing, supporting and developing construction teams; all being essential requirements for this role.
