THE COMPANY

My client are market leaders within the highways civil engineering sector, having renowned success across a variety of schemes with UK-wide coverage. They are part of a wider construction company with a group turnover just shy of £1billion, with their civils division in the UK growing at a phenomenal rate.

As part of their strategy to achieve 40% growth within the next few years, they are now seeking a Senior Estimator to join their civils division, working largely in the highways sector!

ABOUT THE JOB

You will be a fundamental part of the business in achieving their targets as they have identified that their growth all sits on developing the estimating function. The schemes you will be involved with will largely be within the highways sector on major projects, but the business isn’t wanting to just stop there! They are branching out into other sectors as well, so it’s a great time to join them as they start an exciting new journey!

The nature of the work is major schemes upwards of £5m, with a UK-wide operation. You will be expected to occasionally go out to site to scope out the works but will largely be based in their plush office in Manchester.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

So, now you know what to expect, I bet you’re wondering what would make you successful in this role? As a business they produce estimates from first principles, so you must have experience of this method. As the work is largely within highways, you will need to have experience working on highways build tenders, but if you have a mixture of civils sector experience, I still want to hear from you!

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To be considered for Senior Estimator role, you must have some experience of the highways sector as an Estimator ready to step up, or already a Senior Estimator. You will also need a minimum of HNC in either Civil Engineering or a Commercial subject.

My client is open on experience as it’s all about getting the right person in – so if you think you’re up to the task and can slot into the team swiftly, you could just be what they’re looking for.

PACKAGE

My client is offering a top-notch candidate a generous salary upwards of £60k, plus package including car/car allowance, pension and holidays.
