We have a new opportunity for a Senior Monitoring Engineer / Monitoring Manager to join the Geomatics team here in Nottingham.

Overall purpose of the role

o To develop and lead monitoring services and new work streams within the team in conjunction with the Director and act in a senior capacity resolving issues as they arise.
o To develop relationships with equipment suppliers and promote innovation.
o To provide senior technical advice and support with monitoring techniques.
o To provide technical advice to the Director in development of the team.
o Responsible for allocating weekly resource and input into the necessary systems and ensuring the team is able to meet client and contractual demands.
o Assisting the Director in the tendering/scoping of works as appropriate in the return of planning and returning of tenders.
o Working with an allocated Project Manager to ensure effective delivery and reporting of monitoring projects.
o Possessing a wealth of experience and a detailed knowledge of varied monitoring disciplines the individual will be able to develop and demonstrate expertise in above and below ground monitoring systems.
o Develop robust QA procedures and assist the Director in gaining relevant industry accreditations.
o Maintaining a commercial overview of the Monitoring capability


Daily Activities

o Oversee development and implementation of new work flows.
o Oversee the collection, processing and delivery of monitoring information efficiently and accurately.
o Undertake other technical duties as directed by the Director.
o To promote the business of the Geomatics Team.
o Oversee specific innovative monitoring projects.
o Attendance at Client meetings.
o Ensure compliance with Bridgeway quality systems and applicable surveying standards.
o Frequent review of techniques and procedures.
o Ensuring the calibration of instruments routines are clearly defined and carried out as required.
o Carry out technical, managerial and supervisory duties as necessary and hold relevant industry competencies.
o Approve Work Package Plans, RAMS and Task Briefing Sheets.
o Provide senior level technical support to other members of the Geomatics Team.
o To undertake other duties in accordance with requirements of the company.

You will be working for one of the leading consulting and contracting civil engineering companies in the UK today.
