What is the purpose of this role?

Provide detailed and accurate P6 plan including all company deliverables and stage gates.

What will this role involve?

• Responsible for producing project planning activities from conception to completion using P6

• Compile programmes for projects and advise work teams accordingly

• Build an understanding of project interfaces

• Assisting the project team as directed by Management

• Work within the company's planning team as directed by Line Manager

• Specific Safety Responsibilities

• Comply with legislation and industry standards i.e. Rule Book

• Comply with company rules, procedures and working practices

• Undertake all work in a safe manner

• All accidents and incidents that have the potential to cause injury or property damage to be reported

• Where necessary provide advice and support to inexperienced colleagues

What are we looking for?

• Computer literacy and use of planning tools

• IT literate including MS Office and Primavera

• Prioritise workloads

• Good understanding of the construction / railway industry

• Demonstrable experience within planning in the rail sector

• Experience of working with internal design teams

• Experience of working closely with stakeholders and developing personal relationships

• Experience of managing and developing staff

• Highly effective motivator with strong written and spoken communication skills and capable of interfacing at all levels in the organisation
