We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Pavement Engineer in Nottingham that has excellent design, technical and software skills, and that wants to be part of the pavement teams of an independent firm. The company is a well-known firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants that is offering a range of professional engineering services.

You will broadly cover pavement design for site development, highway, airfield, port and industrial projects. You will assist in the production of calculations of drawing, specification and reports, having also knowledge of materials, construction of pavements and a knowledge of UK design standards.

The candidate will need to prove commitment to their own professional developments, having competence in pavement design engineering. It will need to show high competence in the detailed design on site infrastructure (pavements, roads, geometry, surface, sub-surface drainage), as well as the understanding of key drivers of drainage design (planning, flood risk, ground conditions etc.).

Job requirements:

• Chartered Engineer/working towards chartership
• Competence in Microstation environment
• Experience in design in accordance with DMRB, SHW or other internationally recognised standards.
