Role: Senior to Principal Hydraulic Modeller
Locations: London, Reading, Manchester, Leeds
Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 (Negotiable, DoE)

I am looking for a range of senior and principal hydraulic modellers to work for an international engineering consultancys London, Reading, Manchester or Leeds offices. The consultancys environmental teams workload has grown rapidly over the last 6 months and more incoming work from the Environment Agency, Local Authorities and private clients means that the firm have a need for multiple hydraulic modellers. The role features a range of 1D, 2D and some 3D modelling in fluvial, coastal and urban environments.

Ideally, candidates will have working knowledge of ISIS, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller Pro or Infoworks ICM software, though the large teams operate using a range of software depending on the project. 

Team leadership skills are also highly desirable for this role, as you will be mentoring more junior employees as well as maintaining some technical oversight of their workloads, depending on your seniority.

Membership of either the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) is highly desirable. For those that have not yet achieves Chartered status, the firm has an accredited training scheme and multiple mentors. Further, some project management skills are desirable, with the ability to maintain budget controls and ensure delivery within set timeframes very useful for these positions.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant education
• Knowledge of hydraulic modelling in fluvial, coastal, urban environments (1D, 2D, 3D)
• Software: ISIS, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller Pro, Infoworks ICM
• Experience managing own projects and other engineers/technicians
• Accreditation with either ICE or CIWEM (Desirable)
