Responsible for:
- Managing and leading all aspects of production, including 180+ people to ensure the daily delivery of a safe and reliable fleet that enhances customer experience
- Lead a team of Production Managers, Team Leaders, Engineers and Technicians to delivery the fleet on a daily basis for the customer
- Lead the daily and weekly production reviews
- Lead, manage and develop production staff, provide coaching and mentoring as required
- Manage all staff rotas, leave, absence and training to ensure Minimum Shift Levels are in place at all times
- Ensure Lean tools and techniques are applied and industry best practice is implemented
- Ensure that all safety briefings are delivered, recorded and adhered to
- Ensure the technical competence of staff and compliance with regulations in regards to the completion of safety critical work
- Comprehensive understanding of CI
- Experience using SAP, Maximo or Equinox
- At least 5 years experience within an engineering environment
- Rail, Automotive or Aerospace industry experience is required
- Mechanical/Electrical engineering degree is desirable
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Leadership & management qualification or relevant experience
