What is the purpose of this role?
To support My Client in the delivery of general practice surveying services to Great Western Railway and South Western Railway specifically, and to other clients as required
What will this role involve?
Responsibilities
To grow income on behalf of the client through the provision and delivery of a portfolio merchandise strategy tailored to the local demographic
To support My Client in respect of the provision of 'surveying' services including property /portfolio management, development, retail agency and advisory services.
Ensure that safety is always the priority, promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with both client and My Client Key Processes and Safety Responsibility Statements
Work closely with the Director(s) and account managers to ensure that work is planned to optimise the use of available resources to grow income from the portfolio
Ensure that all work is planned to satisfy the requirements of the contract KPI's
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, in order that their requirements are fully understood and implemented
Comply with the RICS' requirements for CPD
Ensure all work undertaken complies with the RICS' guidelines and practice notes
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Training:
Undergraduate degree
Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) with 3 years post-qualification experience
A general practice surveying background with experience in a number of the following areas:
Rent reviews of commercial property across a number of user types acting for owners and tenants including experience of submissions to third parties
Lease renewals of commercial property and good working knowledge of the relevant legislation
Leasing a mix of commercial property and particularly retail and catering premises
Management of leasehold commercial property
Reporting to clients and providing both high level and detailed advice
Have strong communication and inter-personal skills. You will relate well to clients, tenants and colleagues at all levels
Experience in the formation of fee quotes and/or bids to clients
Good presentational skills and experience of presenting to clients
Be a self-starter, able to take responsibility and work with minimum supervision, at times under pressure
Ability to identify and share best practice within the team
Have excellent organisational skills; be able to multitask and re-prioritise to meet changing needs and deadlines
Have proven ability to work in a team environment with a dedicated approach to project deadlines
Willingness to travel within the UK
Full UK Driving Licence
Have a high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, and in particular MS Excel
