We are currently dealing with a leading consultancy, who due to a healthy workload, are now searching for Senior and Principal Engineers to join their team in Newcastle. They are also considering experienced Graduates and Intermediate Engineers.

The Newcastle team predominantly focuses on the private-sector, with projects including the commercial, retail, industrial and housing sectors. You will be given the opportunity to join a busy a vibrant team, helping produce infrastructure solutions for both UK and abroad Clients.

In the role, you will be given the opportunity to freely express yourself and create innovative design solutions to complex and challenging engineering problems. Part of the position would be to take ownership of the designs produced by the team, and to review documents to ensure that they are completed to the highest of standards, meeting industry regulations and Client expectations.

Furthermore, you will also be tasked with some Client-facing roles, where you would have to liaise with Clients, Stakeholders and Statutory Authorities so ensure projects and designs are completed with all interests met. Also, as part of a growing team, you would be partially responsible for mentoring and developing junior engineers and helping the spread of knowledge and design methods.

Job Description:

• Minimum of 5 years experience withing Infrastructure Development
• Experience withing highways and drainage designs
• Working knowledge, or an appreciation of UK design standards
• Must have the ability to comfortable use standard design software (Civils3D, PDS, MicoDrainage, AutoCAD)
• Be outgoing and willing to develop junior colleagues
• Attend design team meetings, liaise with Clients and other stakeholders
