Graduate Mechanical Engineer in Derby, Derbyshire, United Kingdom
My rail client is looking to recruit 2 individuals that are graduating this summer with a mechanical engineering degree or similar. The role will be to become and Overhead Line Design engineer for the railway industry. My client will be providing a full 2 year training plan and career development scheme that is second to none in the market.
What is the purpose of this role?
To deliver all the specified project outcomes on time and to the quality required and maintain compliance with all relevant technical standards.
What will this role involve?
Assist engineers and senior engineers, under guidance, with the preparation and amendment of all related work and deliverables in the form of plans, charts, diagrams, estimates, materials Ensure accurate and efficient use of all related systems and applications Liaise with specialist members of the Project Team, Client Project Managers and other staff, as required
What are we looking for?
Ability to work logically and analytically to predetermined timescales
Ability to work alone An understanding of any engineering systems would be an advantage
A desire to follow an engineering career
A proactive methodical approach to problem solving
Ability to work within a team taking direction from the more senior Engineers
