Associated Rewinds (Ireland) Ltd is the largest Independent Traction Motor Specialist in Europe with a client list including nearly all the major rail operators in Europe and the UK. Operating since 1986 from our modern offices in Dublin, our reputation as leaders in the rail industry is built on continuously providing top quality motors and an excellent service to our clients.
We now require two Qualified Electrical / Mechanical Engineers to join us, and bring their knowledge and experience to our team. These roles can grow into senior positions within the company and influence the future success of the business. These important roles involve working as part of our engineering team, alongside our Workshop Manager and Warranty Engineers. If you are ambitious and willing to be part of, and lead a team, this is a great opportunity for you.
Experience in the Rail Industry would be an advantage but is not essential. Regular interaction with customers will be part of these roles, so good communication skills and fluency in English is essential, with other languages an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
• To ensure the smooth processing of work through our facilities
• Analysing motor test results and efficiently creating reports for clients
• Liaising directly with clients on their programme of works
• Be a key part of investigations into problematic motors and providing solutions
• Working with our technicians to develop and maximize efficiencies in motor maintenance processes
• Assisting the Production Manager to ensure operational efficiencies are maximized
• Other duties as required
• Key Responsibilities will evolve and change over time.
The Candidate
• Will hold a recognized Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Has a minimum 5 years industry experience
• Possesses a good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practice in the work place
• Will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with fluency in English (other languages are an advantage)
• Has the personality to lead and motivate a team on the factory floor
• Willingly takes ownership of issues, has good analytical skills and can transfer knowledge and skills to their team
• Will have effective investigatory skills to carry out technical investigations
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations
• Is proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and an understanding of rolling stock maintenance and design.
