The Company

Our client is a World-Famous specialist in the modification, overhaul and servicing of Rolling Stock and look after a variety of well-known clients throughout the country. Employing well over 150 people in the UK they are winning work like there’s no tomorrow and have contracts to carry out long term servicing and exam work as well as a whole host of mods and overhauls. The time has come to welcome some additional, experienced personnel to this traditional company to enable them to fulfil their contracts.

Your Role

As a Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for ensuring that the Rolling Stock is methodically improved according to the overhaul instructions and returned to the client in the best possible condition. You will get involved with interior mechanical rip-out and re-fit, as well as underframe mechanical checks ensuring that every aspect of the fleet is safe and ready to return to the client.

You

You will most likely be a former member of HM Forces looking for a door into the World of Rolling Stock. You will have worked on heavy aircraft including lynx or Sea Kings from a mechanical perspective and will have experience in safety critical work. You will be a self-starter who needs little or no supervision and most of all you will be looking to get into this thriving sector. You will be expected to demonstrate that you have an Apprenticeship or a minimum of an NVQ Level 3.

Your Reward

As the latest addition to this expanding organisation you will receive an hourly rate of £17 and will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your mechanical skills with a possibility of staying long-term (who knows what the future holds?). This depot is a great place to work and we are looking for 2 more Mechanical Fitters so you can bring a colleague / friend with you!!
