The role

An opportunity has arisen for a Hired Plant Maintenance Coordinator to join VolkerRail Specialist Businesses Limited working in the Plant department. This is a part time role working 19.5 hours per week. (Tuesday afternoon 4 hours, Wednesday and Thursday 7.5 hours each day)

Key accountabilities

This role will involve:

• Ensure all Maintenance documentation is inputted into the relevant online files and hyperlinked to the Hired Plant & Equipment master maintenance spreadsheet.

• Send service letters out to the client.

• Schedule in Fitter site visits so servicing can take place.

• Provide a daily report to the Hired Plant Assets Manager to confirm what service documentation has been received and inputted onto the system.

• Operate and maintain database, allocating plant to internal contracts.

• Produce a Utilisation Report showing plant on hire to contracts on a weekly basis.

• Produce a monthly charge-out report of plant hired to internal contracts.

• Identify and action all losses and damages and charge to contract.

• Produce a monthly utilisation report detailing all VolkerRail plant and equipment against planned use.

• Maintain directory of allocated tools.

• Receive enquiries for external hire tasks and pass to Assets Manager / Operations Manager.

• Produce report showing operator contract and non-contract hours.

• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Skills & experience

You will be self-motivated with a pro-active approach.

The candidate will also ideally have the following experience/skill set:

• Previous experience of Plant Hire highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and literacy skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential for this role.
• Excellent computer skills including Excel and database systems
• Flexible/proactive - can do attitude who shows initiative to support others
• Strong focus on customer service and quality
