Work Time: Shift System (39 hours)

This is an opportunity for an Auto Electrician to excel in helping to support the company in driving the business forward through supporting the workshop and the service team.

Purpose:

To maintain company vehicles to the standard required by the Company and DVSA to achieve maximum vehicle availability. To be responsible for working in a safe manner as stated in current legislation and Company policies and procedures.

Scope:

Working on single and double deck busses, coaches, articulated busses and Company vans. This includes installation of CCTV, air/conditioning, ramps, electronic gearboxes, electronic engine management systems and all other electrical components.

The Auto Electrician role involves:

• Responsible for routine inspection/maintenance of company vehicles in accordance with established company procedure and DVSA requirements.

• To undertake diagnostic investigations on reported vehicle defects and to identify faults using laptops, multi-meters and other test equipment To undertake mechanical, electrical and some minor body repair. To road test on completion of repair.

• To work in accordance with safe working practices as stated in the Company's Health and Safety policy and procedures.

• To train/mentor apprentices and new recruits.

• To keep abreast of environmental and technical development.
