BIM Coordinator in City of London, London, United Kingdom
Randstad CPE is currently recruiting for a BIM Co-Ordinator to work on one of the largest projects in Europe at the moment, this will run for at least 18 months.
This role is to provide Project contract Building Information Modelling (BIM) Coordination, leadership, professional advice and guidance necessary to enable the client to achieve their BIM level 2 objectives.
A key component of this role is to interface directly with Stakeholders, Suppliers, and their supply chains, to assuring the quality delivery of a collaborative digital deliverables within the digital environment.
Role & responsibilities
- Deliver the Project BIM processes, methodologies and guidance for the collaborative production, maintenance and delivery of information and data.
- Represent the client proactively at industry recognised forums related to BIM, CAD and Information Management highlighting and championing successes realised
- Implement BIM processes Identifying and promoting cost avoidance and reduction, creating and exploiting efficiencies to deliver benefits to the programme portfolio
- Under the direction of the Programme Information Manager assure BIM ethic is consistently applied throughout contracts covered within the Programme.
- Provide project based assurance and compliance to programme, industry recognised and, internal BIM standards, methods, procedures. Highlighting commercial, security and, confidentiality risk where identified.
- Administer Programme implemented Common Data Environment (CDE) ensuring compliance to programme BIM standards, methods and procedures.
- Create and maintain BIM implementation and adoption metrics for each project within your Programme
Essential
- Degree and/or Higher National qualifications associated with architecture, engineering or construction industries
- Proficient using Bentley & Acosim
- Specialist knowledge in the implementation of BIM and collaborative working processes (BS1192:2016, BS1192:4, PAS1192:2,3,5,6 AVANTI).
- Relevant successful experience of the industry BIM associated technologies
- Relevant successful experience in use of Industry standard Document and Data Management Systems
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, with stakeholders of all levels across the projects and externally with the Supply chain
Desirable
- Methodical and analytical approach to work, consistent persistent nature and integrity for maintaining comprehensive and accurate information and data management
- Capable of producing, conducting, operating and managing clash avoidance for construction planning (4D) and quantification take off (5D)
- Capable of utilising point cloud and LiDAR data to facilitate design deliverable production (3D)
- Experience in ProjectWise and eB administration for project delivery
- Knowledge of Network Rail, its obligations and priorities
- Working knowledge of the client's GRIP Process
