Samuel Knight Rail are currently recruiting for one of our key clients, who are seeking qualified & experienced electricians with experience in the Rail sector, and holding a valid PTS. Our client have won many projects in 2018 and the demand for electricians comes on the back of their strongest ever order book.

As a result, our client are seeking career minded employees who want to develop within the Rail sector , gaining exposure to major projects and infrastructure works.

The primary daily duties and responsibilities are:

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Signalling Supply installation works within major re-signalling projects
• Signalling supply amendments within re-modelling schemes
• PSP installation / fit out works
• REB installation / fit out works
• FSP Installation / fit out works
• DNO & Power supply cubicle installation / manufacture
• Point Heating installation / alteration works
• Railway Station Electrical re-furbs & M &E fit outs
• Power supply installation and alteration in support telecoms department
• Power supply installation works to REB & TSC buildings
• Testing & commissioning of all of above

Essential

E&P Rail experience.

Desirable

2391 or equivalent inspection and testing qualifications would be advantageous. Our client do welcome applications from candidates who don’t hold 2391, but have experience and are willing to develop to this qualification.

This role requires all candidates to provide a valid & in-date Drug and Alcohol certificate which has a negative result. This is an important and compulsory part of your application. On successful employment, the cost of the test will be reimbursed back to you by our client.

Any candidate without this test do not meet our clients criteria and cannot be considered.
