ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISOR - RAIL - NORTH WEST - PERMANENT or FREELANCE

AndersElite Rail currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Environmental Advisor who is required to join a Main Contractor delivering major Rail projects in the North West. The successful candidate will work on a number of prestigious Network Rail projects in the North West, overseeing environmental policies and principles.

Candidate requirements:

• Educated to degree level in associated subject
• Work as Head Advisor for all environmental issues on projects related to Network Rail framework
• Chartered or working towards Chartered status
• IEMA Associate or foundation certificate
• Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment

Duties & responsibilities:

• Ensure Business Management Systems meet requirements of ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 50001
• Management of all contractors working under the principal contractor
• Co-ordinate environmental / sustainability management across the business
• Managment od the Environmental Impact Assessment process
• Carry out key environmental risk assessments
• Oversee the implementation of Environmental sustainability standards
• Deliver environmental and sustainability training
