ESTIMATOR - RAIL - PERMANENT - NORTH WEST

Estimator is required to join a leading Rail contractor in the North West. The role will involve developing competitive and cost-effective tenders to meet the client's needs. This role would suit someone who has over 5 years' experience of working in an Estimating role with a Rail or Civil Engineering contractor.

The role will involve:

• Control and administration of tender documentation
• Preparing and managing all tenders from initial phases through to delivery
• Presenting tenders to senior management at tender review meetings
• Working closely with supply chain managers whilst assessing major supplier and sub-contract enquiries
• Managing the technical and commercial requirements for materials, plant and sub-contract quotes
• Preparing estimates for labour, plant, materials and temporary works
• Preparing all tender submission documents
• Preparing estimating reports

Candidate requirements:

• Educated to HND / Degree Level in Construction or similar field
• Able to demonstrate an extensive background of working with Rail Contractors
• 5 years estimating experience in Rail, civil engineering and mechanical & electrical engineering
• Excellent understanding of the construction process and the various phases
• Able to demonstrate successful involvement in winning bids
• Able to co-ordinate a multidisciplinary bid team
• Well organised and able to follow good estimating procedures
• Excellent knowledge of Network Rail policies and procedures
