H&S Co-Ordinator in Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom
My client is currently looking to recruit an H&S Coordinator to work on a large scale rail project in the midlands.
Responsibilities for this role include but won't be limited to:
Coordinating the specific H&S requirements / data collection for East West Rail Alliance KPI Reporting. Attend meetings with Alliance teams as required to validate data.
Preparation of routine and ad-hoc H&S reports / presentations for the Health and Safety function, Alliance Management Team and Alliance Leadership Team, as required.
Collating project specific information to assist in the delivery of safety in engagement at designated stand down events and Alliance briefings.
Cocoordinating the rollout of the Alliance H&S Improvement Programme 'Safety in Every Choice'.
Providing administrative support to the Alliance Health & Wellbeing Taskforce.
Co-ordinating the development, review and on-going maintenance of SMS procedures and processes within Alliance document management system.
Management of close call, H&S inspection, H&S investigation and H&S audit reports into Alliance reporting system (AIRSWEB), including uploading of information, analysing data and tracking closure.
Providing administrative support, advice / guidance and basic user training on H&S software applications (e.g. mobile close call reporting; AIRSWEB; e-Learning and Datascope).
Providing general administrative support across the Health and Safety function.
Experience and skills required for this role:
Expected:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, literacy and interpersonal skills.
Experience of producing work for a team of people juggling competing priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Flexible / proactive - can do attitude who shows initiative to support others.
Desirable:
Previous experience of working in a Health & Safety Administrative role within the rail industry.
