HEAD OF RAIL / SENIOR CONTRACTS MANAGER - NORTH WEST - PERMANENT

Head of Rail / Senior Contracts Manager is currently required to join a well established Rail contractor in the North West on a Permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a Senior Role, and will have an excellent track record in the delivery of construction projects across the Rail industry. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, ideally in Civil engineering, and have experience of working in the Rail industry in a similar role. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have direct responsibility for the Rail division, ensuring that the organisation is capable of delivering multi-disciplinary projects for their clients.

Candidate Requirements:

• Technical background, ideally in Civil Engineering & Rail engineering
• Experience of working within the Network Rail environment, and able to demonstrate a successful track record of establishing and managing client relationships
• Sound understanding of Project Management principles, and able to apply these principals to achieve the delivery of a number of projects in accordance with agreed programme and budget
• Experience of working as a Senior Contracts Manager OR Head of Rail for a Rail contractor
• Able to demonstrate an excellent level of commercial acumen
• Proven track record of working on a number of Rail Projects
• Experience of developing and growing a rail business in the UK, whilst developing excellent client relationships

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Providing managerial and technical leadership of multi-disciplinary delivery teams
• Oversee the delivery of a number of projects that are key to sustainable business growth
• Manage a team of Project Managers, Commercial staff and Planning teams to ensure the effective delivery of various Rail projects on time, and in line with budget
• Responsible for the development of the company growth plan, in accordance with the business plan and budgets
• Create, Manage and Maintain excellent client relationships
• Programme Management & Financial Management
