Samuel Knight International are pleased to be recruiting multiple new positions for various clients across the country. We have been given a remit to recruit a significant amount of candidates that will service UK Rail rolling stock.

Playing a vital role in keeping Britains locomotives moving, you will service locomotives with engineering works , general maintenance (e.g fuelling) and parts fitting to wagons & locos.

These roles can often be “mobile” and require candidates to work in different areas of the country. This will be limited to where necessary, and would have accommodation and transport provided.

The responsibilities of this role are:

• Ensuring you meet all safety, technical and technical policies & standards
• Analysis of machinery and rolling stock, finding errors and servicing them, maintaining the quality of stock
• Work to the rolling stock maintenance plans
• Keep paperwork for any engineering or maintenance work completed
• Keep the maintenance history of your work in correct systems

The successful candidate should hold:

• Approx 3 years experience in a Rolling Stock role
• Ideally an engineering background (academic)
• Experience to similar positions
• Ability to be flexible in shift patterns and overtime
