Maintenance Engineers
Carlisle, Crewe, Manchester, York, Motherwell & North London
Starting Salary £46,336 with up to 5% Company bonus
(London based positions will get an additional £4,000 allowance)

DRS are looking for Maintenance Engineers to assist in effectively managing the safe and reliable operation of all DRS fleet assets. If appointed, we’ll look to you to maintain DRS locomotives and rolling stock at DRS depots and other locations.

To be successful, you’ll be educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline or time served apprentice with significant experience in the industry.

Naturally, you’ll have experience of railway control and operations methodology, on-depot locomotive maintenance, and NR and TOCs as well as experience of using TOPS / R2 (or equivalent maintenance management systems).

With in-depth knowledge of the Rail industry, VMI’s and Technical Bulletins, you’ll be able to
to efficiently prioritise several tasks simultaneously. You’ll also need excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organised and able to work under pressure, and have strong negotiation skills and accuracy with data, including Microsoft Office packages.

As the role will require frequent travel, you’ll need to have a flexible approach to work.
