RSS Infrastructure are recruiting experienced PTS Lookouts with the opportunity of progression to COSS for the right person. For this role, it is essential that you are available to work 5 days out of 7 from 8am to 4pm., including weekends. Our work is based throughout the UK so you must be willing to work nationwide if required and willing to stay away from home.
What will I be doing?
You will be working as part of a small team of Track Warning System operatives responsible for operating TWS equipment to the highest standard ensuring the safety of operatives working on open lines.
- To ensure that health and safety of all workers.
- Lead from the front in performing all duties and mentor new operatives.
- To ensure that works undertaken by individuals within your work group are carried out safely to remove risk of injury.
- To ensure you represent RSSI to the highest standard in all aspects including customer service, management of your work group and communication with RSSI clients.
- To ensure that all works are completed to the highest levels of quality and issues relating to the completion of work escalated to the COSS and RSSI Line Manager.
- Work midweek days/nights and weekends when the business requires it.
- To record all close calls on RSSI app.
- To challenge, highlight and report ALL unsafe working practices.
- To respond to all instructions and queries from RSSI clients and Line Managers in a calm and professional manner.
- To undertake any other duties, as requested by RSSI clients and RSSI management when requested provided these are safe.
What experience would we like you to have?
To be considered for these roles we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate
- Experience, confidence and competence as a PTS Lookouts
- Experience on track and are confident in open line working.
- A full driving licence is essential for this role
- The willingness to stay away from home on a regular basis for work purposes.
