Key responsibilities
- Prepare and paint rolling stock on site.
- Prepare, including masking, and apply paint to a range of fabricated metal products to a high standard.
- Carry out basic quality control checks.
- Ensure the safe operation of machinery within the area of responsibility.
- Use measuring equipment for mixing foundation coat materials.
- Read, understand and interpret written instructions, documentation, specifications.
- Work under strict time allocation.
- Ensure accurate records are completed and maintained in accordance with procedures in place.
- Demonstrate occupational competence in accepting and returning responsibility for the control of traction and rolling stock assets.
- Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
Health and Safety
Comply with safe systems of work for the task in line with organisational procedures and work to the system
Quality Ensure that all work carried out is in line with organisational quality management system.
General
- Participate in team and one-to-one meetings and undertake, as appropriate, courses, training, other developmental activities, relevant to the role.
- Keep up to date with developments within the Company and other sector-wide practices, that influence the day-to-day activities within the role, ensuring compliance with relevant
- Legislation and any other relevant internal, external factors e.g. Company policies and procedures, quality management standards, Health and Safety.
- Promote the organisation by whatever means are appropriate and available to ensure a positive image to customers, clients.
- Ensure, in the course of employment, complete confidentiality is maintained in respect of
- the Company, its dealings, transactions, and all other information relating to clients or customers, staff etc.
- Demonstrate commitment to the aims and objectives of the Company and the implementation of its Equal Opportunities policy in the workplace.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined, you must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity change the general character or level of responsibility to the post.
You will take part in a performance review, which will incorporate a review of the above duties and performance over the period.
