Payroll & HR Officer in Manchester, North West, United Kingdom
CAF Rail UK Ltd are recruiting for a Payroll & HR Offier to join the team based at Manchester Airport. The ideal candidate will be a payroll professional with exceptional IT skills who has limited experience within the general HR field but is willing to develop.
The key responsibilities are (not inclusive)
Leads the administration and completes payroll processing within deadlines. Provide accurate and timely reports as and when required.
Resolves payroll queries as the first point of contact and liaises with the Accounts Department and Payroll provider. Including reconciling payment information.
Assists with the review of relevant suppliers (payroll, pensions etc.) and ensures that all relevant Payroll & HR processes are up to date and comply with legislation.
Ensure all data on manual and computerised records is accurate and up to date. Maintains confidential department records and files as required.
Composes regular monthly reports, PowerPoint presentations, routine letters, policies & documentation.
Makes meeting arrangements for all relevant HR matters (interviews, disciplinary hearings etc.).
Supports and assists HR in the preparation of reports in readiness for meetings, presentations etc. when required. Including preparation of regular and head office information.
Supports the HR department with benefits related modelling.
Assist HR with generalist day to day issues.
Update and assist with the creation of job descriptions.

Relevant Technical/Professional Qualification Required:
1. Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) – Certificate or above - E
2. Level 4 academic qualifications including English and Maths – E
3. Expert level of Microsoft Packages – Excel, PowerPoint and Word - E
Knowledge/Experience/Attributes
1. Previous experience within a similar Payroll and HR role (preferably 2+ years) – E
2. Experience of Sage - E
3. Ability to communicate at all levels within the business. E
4. Motivated to improve existing working practices. E
5. Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and achieve given time scales. E
6. Self-starter, uses own initiative and able to work with minimum supervision. E
7. Methodical approach to planning and organising workload. E
8. Excellent attention to detail. E
9. Able to maintain confidentiality. E
10. Able to work under pressure - E
