I am looking to place a Senior Transport Planner in a multidisciplinary engineering consultancys Manchester office, near Piccadilly Station. The firm has had a steady increase in workload and they are looking for senior members of staff who have experience of transport planning in both the public and private domain. The firm have been in operation for over 100 years and operate across the globe covering with multidisciplinary projects in civils, structures, transportation, M+E, etc with project values in the hundreds of millions.
You will work in close collaboration with team leads from different disciplines to deliver integrated solutions for these multidisciplinary projects, with knowledge of Multi-Modal Transport Modelling, Scheme Appraisal, Parking Studies, Transport Economics, Strategic Transport Studies, Transport Surveys and Traffic Engineering.
This role would suit someone who has operated at Senior level and is ready to take a step up in responsibility and project scale or someone who has already operated at Principal level for a protracted period and is looking for a new set of challenges. Your role will feature management of a team and you will be responsible for their development as well as managing their technical outputs.
The firm use a range of software including, but not limited to, ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig, TRICS/TEMPRO, CUBE, SATURN, VISSIM, and AIMSUN. Further, knowledge of WebTAG and experience working to BIM level 2 (or higher) would be an advantage. Any candidate should hold membership with a relevant professional body (MCIHT / MILT / MICE).

Job Requirements:
- MCIHT / MILT / MICE
- Relevant education in Transport Planning
- Experience of private and public infrastructure developments
- Experience of Planning Appeals, Public Inquiries and Transport Assessments
- Software: TRICS/TEMPRO, Junctions 9 (ARCADY/PICADY), LinSig3
- Ability (and willingness) to manage technical development of more junior staff
- Knowledge of WebTAG
- Experience working at BIM Level 2 or above
- Client liaison experience
- Local Authority experience
