Our major rail infrastructure client is looking to bring in a Procurement Manager for procurement activity relating to on and off-track operations. This role is a contract role based in Central Milton Keynes, and initially runs until end July 2018.
The procurement activities will be focused on state-of-the-art machinery including On-Track Plant such as MEWPs, RRV (Road Rail Vehicles), Unimogs and small plant as well as more standard equipment and materials for drainage, fencing, environmental services and vehicle telematics systems for rail projects.
This role will suit somebody with extensive procurement experience in the rail sector with strong knowledge of plant procurement. Knowledge of OJEU and relevant guidelines would also be required. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are obviously a must. Membership of a relevant professional body such as MCIPs would be desirable.
This role is for a public sector client, and has been determined as Inside IR35 for Limited Company contractors. This role also requires BPSS so Disclosure Scotland and 3 year referencing will be required pre-start.
