Procurement Planner in Glasgow, Glasgow, United Kingdom
Our client is a principal contractor delivering engineering works around the country. Due to ongoing business growth we are looking to recruit an established supply chain planner to manage subcontractors and resources as they deliver a major rail engineering scheme in Glasgow.
The successful applicant will be managing the supply chain and it's progress against programme. This position interlinks with the procurement function and as such is not a programme planning role
To apply for this role you must meet the following criteria:
- Proven procurement / supply chain planning experience
- Experience working on major engineering schemes
- Knowledge of warehousing and logistics
- Experience using relevant software
- Stakeholder management experience
- Commercial / budgetary acumen
- Excellent motivational skills; leads by example
- Permanently eligible to work in the UK and currently based in the country
This is a salaried position on a two fixed term contract based in Glasgow. You may be required to travel to Italy for training - expenses will be covered. All efforts will be made at the end of the two year period to retain the successful applicant on a different project.
