Overview
The IGC Project Manager will be responsible for the management of the Eleclink safety and security case as per the Common Safety Methodology (CSM), which shall include but not be limited to the delivery of documents as defined in timelines agreed with IGC, attendance to meetings with IGC, SJC and CTSA Ad-Hoc Committees, compilation of the master safety case file for sharing with the Concession, ET.
The incumbent will report directly to the Project Director.
Responsibilities
- Organize the timely submission of deliverables detailed in the time-lines as well as in hazard logs part of the safety case
- Attend Hazid workshops as proposed and ensure of the relevant attendance from ET, EL and other key stake holders of the project
- Ensure a solid and accurate reporting of the progress of all actions identified in the Master Hazard log
- Manage the generation of the Security Strategic Plan and associated level 2 directives to comply with the requirements from the Security Joint Council
- Arrange for the documents to be timely submitted and reviewed by the AsBo and Technical Assurance Body appointed by EL on the project, MMRA.
- Provide responses to queries raised by IGC and ET on the submitted documents
- Prepare to meetings with IGC and relevant committees (CTSA and SJC)
- Arrange weekly reviews of the progress of the safety case with Lot 2 Contractor and distribution of the subsequent dashboard
- Participate to EMC meetings to ensure that actions and timelines are aligned to our main timeline
- Provide inputs and participate to Monthly Steerco Meetings EL/ET
- Provide inputs and participate to Quarterly HSE Meetings EL/ET
- Provide inputs to the Project Monthly Reporting through dashboards
- Make recommendations to EL management to have a better efficiency of the full workstream from issuance of a document to its final approval inclusive of relevant reviews by MMRA
- Structure the documentation tree to have a comprehensive, traceable and accurate safety case file at the end of the project
Minimum Standards & Selection Criteria
- BSC or equivalent in Project Management or Construction related qualification
- Strong safety background is essential, preferably in rail safety case environment
- Understanding of the power and construction business
- Experience in the application of project management systems and tools and reporting
- Able to understand and advise commercial and strategic aspects
- Experience to operate and communicate in a multi-cultural environment
- French speaking advantageous
- Good communicator with the ability to adapt to different audiences, including influencing, negotiating, verbal, written and presentation skills
- Being honourable, trustworthy, fair and honest – respecting confidentiality
- Plans ahead, is able to identify important issues and works in a systematic way
- Participate in a working environment of safety, autonomy and trust
- Extensive background in dealing with multiple stakeholders including the UK & French Governments
- Strong attention to detail on technical issues
