Our client is a major rail contractor delivering substantial engineering works as part of a wider power framework in the North of England. With works getting under way, we are looking to recruit a capable and established programme to lead the works from York.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely and on-budget delivery of the works whilst managing relationships between the client, key stakeholders and the sub-contract supply chain.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrable programme management experience on major engineering schemes.
• Applicants must have programme managed multiple concurrent rail power engineering schemes on Network Rail infrastructure - we will be unable to consider applicants without this specific industry experience
• Applicants must have a traction power engineering background themselves
• Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
• Highly commercially aware
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Committed to a zero incident safety culture
• Fully eligible to work in the UK
• Happy to be based in York and travel as business dictates
