Rail Tunnel (TBM) Specialist - Philippines

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experienced Tunnelling specialist with strong experience of TBM methods to join a leading consulting engineering firm on a major Rail scheme in Philippines.

Opportunity:

The project is part of long-term scheme consisting of various Metro developments aimed at reducing the congestion of Philippines. Working on behalf of the department of Transport as part of the General Consultancy Joint Venture you shall be joining the project as part of an International team play a key role in its success.

Responsibilities:

The successful experts shall be providing technical expertise to all Tunnelling elements from design reviews, scheduling, and integration with other packages. Other responsibilities shall include:

• Review of construction drawings, design review of Underground stations, bored tunnels, and site inspections.
• Construction supervision, quality and safety.
• Project Management Support
• Quality Assurance and Quality Control
• Review preliminary design submitted by contractor
• Review Definitive design submission
• Review of Temporary work design report
• Design Quality Management
• Inception Report and Monthly progress report
• Preparation of Alignment, Civil and Tunnel drawings for tender.
• Supervise and monitor field works for the Geotechnical investigation

Key requirements for the role:

• A Civil Engineering degree (or related subject)
• 15+ years of experience in similar roles and on Rail/ Metro projects
• Previous Consultancy experience
• Experience of JICA & ADB financed projects would be advantageous
• Regional Experience would be beneficial

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication

Salary Package:

The salary package on offer is around $11,000 to $15,000 per month
