£19.52/hour
+ £1.50/hour retained on all hours worked and paid on completion of the project
We're looking for the best Spray Painters in the business to work on a prestigious project in the North West!
The Re-Paint Project is currently underway at an impressive new facility in Widnes, refurbishing a 56-strong fleet of trains. Working in a large team of Spray Painters, Multi-Disciplined Operatives, Vehicle Preppers and more, the aim is to deliver a full external re-spray of these iconic rail vehicles to the highest possible standard.
You'll be spraying panels both in-situ on the train in purpose-built spray booths using the best equipment, along with using detail booths to spray smaller components which have been removed, stripped and prepped ready for a new coat of paint!
This is a great opportunity for experienced vehicle painters to showcase their skills to an industry-leading client on one of their biggest and most exciting projects to date.
Immediate starts are available on this project, running until December 2019!
Hours
Working on a two-week roster, successful applicants will be required work days, nights and weekends as the project requires.

Hourly Rate
£19.52/hour for all hours worked
Additional £1.50/hour accrued and made payable upon completion of the project
Location
The location benefits those with their own modes of transport, excellent links to the motorways and surrounding areas. If you are needing to use Public Transport, please consider the start and finish times above!
Some examples of your day-to-day responsibilities;
* Clean, prepare vehicles e.g. sanding, masking, filling, mixing of paint and painting to correct specification
* Clean, prepare and paint components off train
* Finishing, including peer group finished work inspection
* Carry out final work and process inspections as required
* Associated paperwork
Required Experience;
* Experience in the painting and preparation of large surface areas and commercial vehicles for example trains/aircraft/trailers
* Experience repairing GRP (Glass Reinforced Phenolic) components and body work
* Use of paints and paint systems such as 2k Solvent Based Paints
