Brief Vacancy Description The Operations and Customer Services function operates the railway day-to-day. It delivers train paths, timetabling and train movements to enable safe performance and meet the needs of our customers. The function owns and manages our business relationships with the passenger and freight operators and external commercial stakeholders. The functional customer focused organisation provides clear ownership of operating responsibilities for all customers and stakeholders. The area delivery units are the building blocks of engineering and operations excellence. Detailed External Job Description The role of Station Support Assistant is to support the Station Manager in the delivery of a first class station environment to Train Operating Companies (TOCs), passengers and retailers. Main Duties: Undertake general office administration including the control of mail, co-ordinating of diaries, filling and maintenance of personal records and the arranging of travel. Organise meetings and the production and dissemination of documentation to support them. Adhere to financial and procurement procedures and act as local purchasing agent, where directed, by ordering stationary and other consumables as required. Collate customer information requirements and ensure all station information and publicity material is in date and adheres to company guidelines. Assist in gathering information regarding accidents, incidents and claims and liaise with relevant parties. Arrange access for filming and assist with arranging exhibitions and promotions on the station. Record toilet turnstile revenue and report discrepancies in accordance with company policy. Order, control and issue Personal Protective Equipment and Rule Books for the station team. Undertake administrative tasks as directed. Do you have?
