One of our trusted partners have a permanent opening for an ambitious Stock Manager who has experience in procurement, IT systems and goods in and out.

The role involves fulfil stock requirements for all business operations, control stock, handle goods in/out, manage the stores, process supplier invoices and maintain & develop relationships with our supply chain.

Role and Responsibilities:

• The primary purpose of this job is to fulfil stock requirements for all business operations, control stock, handle goods in/out, manage the stores, process supplier invoices and maintain & develop relationships with our supply chain.

• Daily tasks will include stock control, purchasing, goods in/out, preparation of stock for upcoming works, processing supplier invoices, hiring of tools/plant required for upcoming works and the return of unused stock into the stores.

• The right candidate will quickly progress to handle the procurement of stock items, stock record management, webstore management and then a full supply chain review with the aim of managing costs and maintaining quality.

• This is a fast paced, busy environment where no two days are the same. Organisation and constant communication with our suppliers, engineers and the rest of the team is absolutely essential to the success of the department.

The Candidate Essentials:

• Excellent telephone, email and written communication skills
• Forward thinker with solid organisational skills
• In-depth knowledge of stock management and goods in/out procedures
• Comprehensive knowledge of the purchasing paperwork chain from order to receipt and invoice
• Strong IT skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Solid mathematical foundation with good understanding of margin, mark-up and % increase/decrease
• Willing and able to work on your feet, operate pallet trucks to move heavy loads and move large volumes of stock
• Forklift licence is preferred
