Site Agent / Senior Engineer

South Yorkshire (split office working and at home)

4 Weeks Minimum (with a much longer extension for the right person)

Rate: TBC as the IR35 assessment is yet to be verified as Outside IR35.

THE ROLE

Are you Site Agent or Senior Engineer level person with experience in Rail Civils and Work Package Plans that wants to get to work in a new role immediately? Whilst not career defining, this role is vital to the project team who require someone to manage their Work Package Plans for four weeks on a high-profile project in Yorkshire working for two of the best contractors in the UK.

There is an opportunity for the position to develop into an engineering/site-based role but the need for someone to manage the WPP’s is critical to the successful delivery of the project and if you are up for this challenge, you can start work immediately and whilst no formal IR35 assessment has been confirmed as yet, it is likely that the role with fall Outside IR35!

Better still, you can work from home for this position with only occasional travel to the office required.

THE PERSON

We require someone with experience writing and managing Work Package Plans for early-stage projects with works such as Compound Construction and Soil Nailing currently taking place. For this, you must have previous experience in a similar role, and you must be confident that you can manage such works independently and without assistance from your line manager, other than the necessary liaison with the site and operational teams in order to get the task done.
