Engineering Technical Manager Overhead Line
Location: Nexus HQ, Gosforth
Salary: £34,182 to £51,272pa plus Local Government Pension Scheme
The role will have wide-ranging responsibility for managing Infrastructure compliance through a range of monitoring, assessment and measuring techniques, standards of inspection and maintenance of overhead line.

The role – Engineering Technical Manager Overhead Line (OHL)
The successful candidate will assist in planning the safe management and Inspection of Nexus Power Supplies assets, providing technical assurances to ensure compliance with the performance specification with Nexus/client. Ensure performance and quality standards are met by providing a reliable and cost effective service against requirements.
The person
The successful applicant will have a relevant Level 4 Qualification (UK), or equivalent in an Engineering subject, combined with demonstrable experience of working in a substantive technical capacity within Overhead Line/Power Supplies. A working knowledge of process control, Railway Group Standards, Rail Industry Standards and other Overhead Line engineering and safety standards are essential. Ideally, you will hold, or be prepared to work towards Incorporated Engineer status.
Good written, oral, IT, communications skills and the ability to plan ahead and organise your own workload are essential. There will be a requirement to deputise for the Engineering Manager Overhead Line, plus undertake ‘on call’ duties.
