The PTA is looking for qualified and experienced engineers and transport professionals to help grow and maintain the state’s public transport network.

In addition to maintaining the existing network the Government has recently commenced a major program of rail projects named METRONET with the aim of updating & extending the Perth metropolitan rail network and is looking for experienced rail engineers across a number of disciplines to help deliver these exciting phases of work

We are looking to hear from Overhead Wiring Supervisors interested in emigrating to Australia or relocating interstate to Perth. This position ensures the operational performance of all Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) is safe, reliable and cost effective and that all maintenance, repairs and associated works are completed to the PTA’s relevant standards and customer requirements. You will prepare technical reports on maintenance and repair activities and be involved in investigations and reporting of all OLE incidents. Supervising staff and driving team performance through the assessment of competence and identification of competence are critical deliverables of this role.

To be suitable for the role you will ideally have:

• Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Rail Traction
• Demonstrated knowledge in maintenance and construction of OLE for 25 kV AC Electrified railway, including restoration of de-wirement in 25kV AC urban electrified railway
• Strong leadership skills and experience in supervising and developing teams and individuals
• Demonstrated ability to take control and resolve issues in emergency situations
