our focus will be to produce and deliver safety related Signalling design deliverables at a principle and system level, in accordance with the client specific requirements, appropriate railway standards, technical constraints and the company procedures, working closely with the Design Delivery Manager and Signalling Designers.

Our roles are based within our Signalling Design Centres in Birmingham & Crewe. These centres of excellence undertake signalling design and system engineering activities that support numerous projects. These projects are multidiscipline, complex and are strategically important to our clients. Our engineering teams are supporting some of the most significant projects within the UK, including re-signalling and enhancement projects and the wider digital railway initiative.

In addition to being able to demonstrate that they have the knowledge and experience to undertake the above, the successful candidate will specifically hold a current IRSE 1.1.550 Principles Designer License and have an HNC/HND in an engineering discipline, as a minimum. You will also be able to demonstrate your track record in successfully implementing technical solutions, communicating ideas and improvements, and challenging complexity. Moreover, you will also be able to show you are able to balance technical requirements against wider commercial considerations. You'll also need to evidence an ability to offer creative solutions and to translate the most complex designs into workable solutions that meet and exceed our client requirements.
