Job Description
THE ROLE
Our Rail client is seeking engineers with a background in Software engineering to support a range of international rolling stock projects
As a project manager for relevant projects within your area of expertise, you will be required to manage the delivery of your own work to the client within the defined timescale, cost and quality

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
" To apply knowledge and professional judgement in assessing whether rolling stock systems, sub-systems or materials have been developed/supplied in accordance with international standards
" To produce high quality, technically accurate reports and other documents in support of client projects within timescales and budgetary requirements
" To plan and implement project and programme activities, ensuring that they are undertaken within agreed resource parameters and delivered on time
" To provide support as required in business development activities, including contributing to proposals, and advise the appropriate manager of potential business opportunities identified.
" Represent that industry events
" Maintain your own competence and knowledge at the forefront of the fire engineering community.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
" Be degree educated in a suitable discipline and have membership in a relevant professional institution
" Experience in software development for safety-related systems
" Good knowledge about EN50128 and/or IEC 61508
" Possess 12+ years relevant experience
" It would be highly desirable to have an understanding relevant software engineering codes and languages
" Ideally experience in software engineering with a focus on rolling stock / rail
" English: Fluent in speaking and writing. Chinese (Mandarin): Fluent in speaking and reading; fluent in writing highly desirable
" IT literate - must be proficient in MS Office suite
