Ford & Stanley Interim - The Recruitment Experts are seeking a Production Engineer for a global provider in the Rail industry.
Opportunity
This is an opportunity to work for a globally renown company who supply critical components into the rail industry.
Due to an influx of work and heavy growth plans our client is looking to add a key member to their team, to maintain to ensure all technical documentation is engineered and maintained to meet production build standards.
Location (s): Derby
Duration: Initial 6month contract with the view to go permanent at the end of this period
Role and Responsibilities:
- Structure Bills of Materials (BOM) to meet production build requirements.
- Responsible for the ongoing management and configuration of the BOM to ensure all engineering change requirements are accurately captured and loaded onto the business ERP system.
- Control and issue technical documentation to the production teams and 3rd party suppliers.
- Control and manager Engineering queries/ changes raised internally/ customer/ Supplier (e.g. NCR/DIQR/PNR)
- Establish, Record and maintain engineering changelog.
- Compile and maintain manufacturing assembly aids (MMS/ SOP) to enable production operators to build in line with manufacturing requirements.
- Support FAI/PAP processes.
- Assist in investigations/ actions into quality defects.
Essentials
- Must have a great understanding and background in the electrical manufacturing environment
- You will have a minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience drawing Schematic diagrams
Desirables
- HNC or higher in Electrical engineering
- Bilingual- able to speak Polish
- Previous user of Solidedge or CATIA /Auto CAD (design elements)
