Production Line Support Operator

We require a Production Line Support Operator to join an ever-expanding workforce for a large rail company based in Widnes. This would be a great opportunity to add to or build on existing experience in a flourishing industry!

Hours & Pay

You would be required to work 37-45 hours per week and must be flexible enough to work at short notice if needed. The hourly rate is £12 for all hours worked, through a Limited/Umbrella Company.

Start Date & Duration

Immediate starts are available!
Initial 3-month contract with potential to extend to 6 months.

Experience & Qualifications

* Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence & extensive experience
* Crane Op/Lifting Op Experience
* Manual handling
* Good written and communication skills as well as being a strong organiser and effective planner
* Banksman experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications
Responsibilities
* To work as directed by and in co-operation with the Operations Manager
* Operate as a member of a work team, as the role of that work team requires
* Undertake shunting activities to assist in the movement of rail vehicles (as part of a rail movements team)
* Ensure effective and efficient control and logistics of materials on site
* Maintain good housekeeping within the working area
* Comply with company procedures and code of ethics
* Comply with all depot protection procedures
* Understand and abide to safety notices
* Be capable of accepting training in other skills
* Able to act as a member of a multi-disciplined team - flexibility around team roles
* Good interpersonal skills
* Able to work on own initiative where required
* Good judgement and decision-making capability

Note our client has a strict zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy. You would be required to take a drug and alcohol test on your first day.
