The Role

You will be tasked with leading technical and operational teams in a busy 24 / 7 engineering production facility to deliver outputs that meet strict quality standards.

This key appointment will involve;

• Instigate and embed continuous improvement initiatives to meet output targets

• Plan engineering activities and resources to drive efficiencies and quality standards

• Investigate technical faults and trends, recommending and implementing solutions to improve performance

• Manage Health and Safety across your area of responsibility

• Motivate and empower technical and operational teams to work cohesively as they take accountability for meeting BAU objectives

• Participate in shaping the future of the engineering production operation by sharing your ideas during regular performance reviews and presentations to the senior management team

• Work day and night shifts on a roster basis as part of the Production Management team

• Be an inspirational leader and positive energy across the facility to support change programmes

About You

With experience as a Production Manager or Shift Production Manager you will be practiced in driving continuous improvement, utilising LEAN methodologies or similar within an advanced engineering production environment.

A confident and progressive thinker, you will embrace dynamic change whilst building effective relationships with stakeholders to embed best practice and the reliable delivery of outputs.

This role requires enthusiasm, integrity and dedication. You will champion change and lead by example. Communication is critical in the role of Shift Production Manager as you will engage across all levels of the business to present performance to objectives and your improvement strategy proposals.

Qualifications or certificates in an engineering discipline, leadership & management plus health & safety would be preferable for this role.
