Shift Production Manager
We have an excellent opportunity within our Engineering team at our Ilford Depot for a Shift Production Manager.
Role and Accountability:
You will have direct and overall responsibility for the production outputs required in line with the production plans. Manage the production teams to deliver the required maintenance, overhaul, cleaning and operational requirements to achieve work plan targets through the shift production teams.
Work in partnership across the business, representing Engineering with a collaborative approach to achieve Greater Anglia targets. Ensure all production targets are met and work is completed in accordance with the maintenance schedules, standing orders and to the set quality safety standards.
Be accountable for the delivery of maintenance activities on the relevant rolling stock, conducted in accordance with prevailing statutory and industry requirements and overseen by the engineering compliance function. (QMS, SMS, YSP, SSoW – PUWER – ISO).
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications Required:
To be successful in this position you will need to have the aptitude and interpersonal skills to foster effective team working and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
You will have 5 years or more experience in management of staff and safety, extensive knowledge of fleet maintenance activities. Possess an Engineering Apprenticeship and City & Guilds (or equivalent) in an engineering related discipline, and have (or be working towards) an IOSH or equivalent safety qualification (or working towards).
