Balfour Beatty has an exciting 6-9 Month Fixed Term Contract opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Rail team to work across Newport.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be working closely with our Design Managers and will be responsible for:

• To produce a range of information and Programme KPI's as required by the project
• To comply with project and function specific standards and practices
• To assist in the estimation of timescales and cost
• To assist in the production of technical literature and enquiry information and reports
• To assist the Design Manager in the production of change control
• Ensuring documents and reports are produced to the required standard first time and within time scales set.
• Actively developing working methods to improve the quality and quantity of the output.
• Ensuring produced designs are safe and compliant with design standards / health and safety legislation.
• Producing accurate and complete records
• Completing successful audits

You will have:

• P6 (Primavera) Planning Experience
• An ONC/HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Extensive experience working in an engineering environment for the chosen discipline and subject.
• Experience in overhead line or rail systems design environment.
• Familiarity with Railway Engineering principles.
