A UK based Rail related engineering main contractor, who is heavily engaged in a massive UK Rail infrastructure development and upgrade schemes, is in need of an experienced Rail Assistant Project Manager or Lead Project Engineer / Scheme Project Manager with strong P-Way (1st) and Rail Civil (2nd) working application and experience from design to delivery.

The appointed Assistant Project Manager / Scheme PM / Project Engineer will be working closely and supporting the programme Project Manager. You will be accountable for understanding, oversee and assisting in the direction of design to delivery and project planning requirements. You will be expected to represent the Project Manager on occasions, attending varied project progress and development meeting, liaising with key stakeholders, clients and Sub-contractors alike.

This requirement will see the appointed Assistant Project Manager / Scheme PM be accountable for ensuring;

*Effective plans for delivery are in place and followed in through accordance with the project programme for P-Way delivery and Rail Civils requirements
*Collaborative and informative meetings are taking place with all parties involved within the project; Project Directors, Key-stakeholders and clients alike
*Credible and effective design review results are actioned in accordance to set timescales
*Health, Safety and Quality of works and conducting safety talks


The appointed Assistant Project Manager / Scheme PM will possess the following;

* Past working experience within the planning, excitation and delivery of P-Way and Rail Civils delivery
* Good working appreciation of technical drawings and engineering designs
* Confidence within man-management, sub-contractor control and conducting or reviewing requirements plans, progress monitoring and quality checks experience
* Experience and competence with interfacing and liaising with Clients, Key-Stakeholders, and Sub-contractors
* Will hold a valid PTS and have or held related P-Way / Rail Civils competencies, such as; Stressing Tickets, SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS, ALO Tamping, etc.
* Be a driver of delivery to meet time quality and budgetary constraints as well as being a strong Project management support.

For this role you will need to carry a positive attitude, being eager to take on new and additional tasks which will bolster your learning and development within UK Rail as a contractor.

This contractual position is to start ASAP for possible 26 months duration!! Our client is looking to offer a completive per day rate for the right level of knowledge, experience and abilities.
