Facilities Project Co ordinator / Manager - 4 month contract based East London, £neg
Our client is one of the worlds leading rail vehicle manufacturer - maintainers. They are undertaking some of the UKs largest programmes to deliver new trains and refurbish older fleets and as such need assistance within the facilities function to help realise these projects.
Works to be undertaken are within a rail vehicle depot environment and projects may include some of the following; building a brick gas bottle store, re-works required to a suspended ceiling, relaying workshop floors - spec and costs, installing a pelloby crane, replacement waste compactor, extension to a tannoy system and additions to a fire alarm system. Tasks would include, generating specifications, obtaining quotations, setting up suppliers, meeting suppliers, holding meetings, managing contractors on site and snagging. Ensuring all works comply with HSE requirements, that they are delivered to commercial and quality requirements of the business and that all works and processes comply with relevant industry standards and procedures.
