We are working closely with a client of ours who are urgently seeking a GIS Coordinator to support the project team for a major UK Rail project based out of their West Midlands office. The role will be supporting multiple discipline rail teams within High Profile projects.
The role will be offered on a rolling 6 month Ltd contract basis on an hourly rate between £23-£27 based on a 40 hour week. There is a strong possibility that this contract will continue to get extended.

The candidate must have working experience in ESRI ArcGIS v10 and above, to be able to communicate with the project team and explain technical information to non-technical audiences. You will be coordinating multidiscipline project programmes and deliverables, working with an International team to coordinate the production of a large number of deliverables to a consistently high standard. The candidate will need to have an eye for detail, be methodical and have close attention to accuracy, and good time management skills. You will be attending a wide range of meetings, which provide opportunities to meet and network with new people and promote the innovative capabilities of the Digital/GIS team.
The candidate will have the following knowledge and skills:- Full working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS v10.3 and up
- Project management skills, experience of working to challenging programmes, keeping to costs, and coordinating resources
- Project coordination skills, proven success in coordinating teams to deliver multi discipline projects
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and review processes
- Clear communicator, both verbally and via written communications, ability to express complex technical information in a simple manner to non-technical people.
- Experience of managing teams and leading the team to deadline
- A good understanding of GIS and spatial data analysis and visualization
- An understanding of BIM, and its application
- Working knowledge of using data in various systems, ArcGIS, Excel, Access, SQL, FME, sharepoint
