Are you a Senior Programme Director or Head of Project/Programme Management keen on a new challenge to sink your teeth into?
How about the opportunity to take a newly formed role within a huge organisation and make it your own?
If you have experience of highways or regulated infrastructure, then have a look below...
This highways organisation is at the early phases of some enormous major projects that will change the way the nation gets around the country, with up to £11 billion to be invested on the motorways and A roads of the nation.
As part of this commitment, they have created a new role, Head of Programme & Project Management, who will act as the head of professions for the PM community within the organisation (estimated at 350). Acting as a subject matter expert to PMs and PDs, you will be providing insight and advice to the PM community, being the face of the PM community to key external stakeholders (governmental and contractors) and driving best practice to ensure that the organisation is considered a leader in the project management of major projects.
This is a hugely important and influential position, so you will have had the experience of leading huge capital projects or programmes in a highly regulated environment throughout the entire project lifecycle. Highways would be great, but would consider other regulated sectors such as rail, utilities and oil & gas. Experience of initiating and embedding change management into an organisation would also be highly desired. Professional qualifications and memberships would be regarded such as a Masters degree and RPP (APM) or equivalent. Excellent communication and influencing skills are a must for this position.
We have a fair and comprehensive selection procedure. It is our policy that there should be equal opportunity for and no discrimination against applicants on the grounds of gender, race, religion or belief, nationality, colour, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, disability, age, marriage and civil partnership, union or non-union membership, socio-economic background or being a part-time or fixed term worker.
