Job Title: Project Manager - Rail Multi-disciplinary

Location: Glasgow and surrounding areas

Job Purpose:

The Multi-disciplinary Project Manager will lead and direct a team of staff in the delivery of S&T, Civils, OLE and Power schemes of across the framework valued at circa £80m. The role will see you promoting an environment of best practice and safety, as well as providing a focal point to both internal and external customers.

Principal Accountabilities

• Liaise with discipline Package Managers to ensure all elements of works are delivered in line with scope.
• Maintain effective communication and good relationships with staff and customers at all levels within the organisation. In particular hold 4 weekly review meetings with direct reports and ensure 4 weekly team brief is cascaded to all staff.
• Define clear objectives for team to achieve technical and quality standards and financial targets of the group.
• Identify and develop opportunities for improvement in safety, effective-working practices, productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain good industrial relations through effective consultation and negotiation, implementing disciplinary procedures for serious staff irregularities in order to maintain a well-motivated and disciplined workforce.
• Produce and submit verbal or written reports and explanations following accidents, incidents or mishaps as required.
• Ensure all required method statements are produced and authorised in order that works can be delivered safely.
• Ensure all staff hold the relevant certification and competence to undertake roles, and that SCW documentation is in place and in date.
• Monitor groups financial progress and allocate resource to provide bid support as required

Requirements

• HNC/HND Degree – ideal (not essential)
• PTS
• SMSTS
• CSCS
