Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join our well established and industry leading team in our Glasgow city centre rail office. We are currently involved in all of the High profile Projects across the UK both nationally and regionally, projects such as Crossrail, HS2, Aberdeen to Inverness, Glasgow to Edinburgh via Shotts Electrification. We are recognised as one of the rail industries highest performing providers of design/consultancy services
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Perform productively across a range of assignments, tasks and projects;
- Deliver projects to client’s satisfaction at the appropriate standard;
- Perform the role of client’s project manager;
- Manage own assignment
- Ensure projects are resourced effectively and efficiently;
- Plan, programme, monitor and control projects effectively.
- Manage client’s and Aecoms commercial, financial, quality and programme targets;
- Undertake marketing and seek future opportunities
- Maintain client care
- Prepare tender proposals.
- Responsible for Aecom project team;
- Responsible for all project team staff where performing the role of client’s project manager;
- Ensure quality standards & procedures are maintained;
- Take instruction from client where acting as client’s project manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Related rail experience;
- Experience in managing teams, whether internal or client teams;
- Proven project manager;
- Experience of negotiating commercial, financial and contractual arrangements;
- Experience of change management at project level;
- Experience in D&B projects preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree qualification (or equivalent) essential, engineering or other relevant subject preferred;
- Chartered Engineer status desirable;
- Project Management Qualification (either academic, professional or both) desirable;
- Experience in project planning using Primavera, MS Project or similar desirable
